PRINCETON, Ky. Services for Jim Doom, 62, of the Seven Springs community in Crittenden County will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Seven Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. Revs. Donnie Howton, Ken Bowman and Russell Polk will officiate. Burial will be in Francis Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Mr. Doom died at 9:55 a.m. Monday at his home. He was a retired auto body repairman.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Driver Doom; one son, Rusty Doom of Kuttawa; one daughter, Pam Skinner of Grand Rivers; four stepsons, Ronnie Brown, Danny Brown and David Brown, all of Lockport, Ill., and Buddy Brown of Marion; two stepdaughters, Sheila Fraliex of Princeton and Barbara Smojd of Biloxi, three brothers, Jerrold Doom and Petey Doom, both of Marion, and Tim Doom of Hopkinsville; eight sisters, Odie Huff and Wanda Berry, both of Marion, Eula Bates of Paducah, Gail Hackney of Smithland, Marcy Chaney, Hazel Freisher and Barbara Eaton, all of Elkhart, and Darlene Bessler of Valparaiso, four grandchildren; 18 step grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one stepdaughter and one brother. His parents were Rayburn and Lossie Mae Guess Doom.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
