"Emmett J. GALLOPS Of Pine Mountain Passes At Age 63 // Emmett J. GALLOPS, 63, of Pine Mountain Valley, died at 3:25 p.m. yesterday, after residing there for two months. He was originally from Box Springs, Ga. // Besides his widow he is survived by seven sons, Edgar H. GALLOPS of Pine Mountain Valley, Charlie E., Hardy T. and George A. GALLOPS of Birmingham, Emmett B., Grady L., and John F. GALLOPS of the United States army, four brothers, John F. GALLOPS of Birmingham, George Elmer of Columbus, Thomas G. of Waverly Hall, Gal, Ed GALLOPS of Marion county; one sister, Mrs. Ida THOMPSON; seven grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews. // Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Britton and Dobbs Mortuary, where the body has been placed, awaiting the arrival of his sons in the army."
