Anton Hirsch, 74, 914 Harrison Blvd., Wausau, former mail carrier for 38 years, died Tuesday at 1:15 P.M. at the Wausau hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 A.M. at Peterson Funeral Home, Wausau and at 10 A.M. at Holy Name Catholic church, Wausau. The Rev. Cletus Abts will officiate and burial will be in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call after 2:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where a parish rosary will be said Thursday at 7 P.M. Mr. Hirsch was born May 29, 1894 in Wausau, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Max Hirsch. On May 28,1920 in Wausau he married Helen Gorski, who survives. He served in the U.S. Army Fourth Division in World War I. He retired from the U.S. Post Office, Wausau in August 1959. Survivors besides his wife include four sons, Donald, 815 N. Fifth Avenue, Delmore, at home, Wallace, 138 Myrons Street and James, 320 N. Ninth Avenue all of Wausau, a brother Peter, Alliance, Nebraska, four sisters Mrs. Jess Damon 1619 Fairmont St., Wausau, Mrs. Albert Wolfgram, Appleton, Mrs. Terrence Brennan, Big Horn, Nebraska and Mrs. William Cerny, Milwaukee and seven grandchildren.
