Jean A. Herndon, 66, of Ocala, died Dec. 9, 2005, at her home in Ocala. Mrs. Herndon was a native of St. Augustine and had lived in Orlando, moving to Ocala in 1986. Mrs. Herndon worked as secretary for the State Attorney's Office for 30 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala where she was a leader in the Home Bound Ministry and Women On Mission.

Services: 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Ocala. Calling hours: 6-8 p.m. today at Craig Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors: Her husband, Ocala; son, John Herndon, Lake City; daughters, Katrina Norvell, Portland, Ore., and Michelle Allen, Deltona; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, John Christopher Herndon. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County. P.O. Box 4260, Ocala, FL 34478.
