Mary Alice Nason, 81, passed away at her home in Shawnee Wednesday afternoon, March 12, 1941. Mary Alice Hahn was born February 11, 1860 in the state of Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ezra and Lorena (Biffle) Hahn. When a young woman she moved to Polk County, Nebraska where on Jan. 23, 1876, she was united in marriage to Isaac Newton Nason. Her home was in Nebraska until 1915 when she and her husband moved to Wyoming and settled at Shawnee. This had been her home since. Her husband died April 6, 1919 and two sons, Newton and Lewis, preceded her in death. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Alice Johnson of Shawnee, Mrs. Edith Anderson of Ogallalla, Neb., Mrs. Pearl Nyberg of Corvallis, Ore., Mrs. Mabel Nelson of Palmer, Neb., and Mrs. Florence Heuring of Marquette, Neb.; one son, Freeman Nason of Shawnee; one sister, Mrs. Matilda Calhourn of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Freeman Hahn of Haxtun, Colo.; seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
