A funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 2011, 10:30 am at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home with viewing for family and friends one hour prior to service. A graveside service will follow at Meridian Cemetery. Pastor Brian Merz from The Summit Church will conduct the services.
Joann was born on February 19, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. She lived there for many years graduating from High School and Business College.
She married Al V. Cox in 1948. They lived in a number of cities during Al's career with United Airlines, but Medford, Oregon and Boise were her favorite places to live.
Her Christian beliefs played a major role in running the Cox household, and her devotion to her family and their welfare was her main goal in life. All who knew her loved her sincerity and kindness. She was a member of The Summit Church in Boise.
Survivors include her husband, Al; two sons, Larry and Dennis; and daughter, Deborah; son-in-law, Kenneth; daughter-in-law, Catherine; four wonderful grandchildren, Julie, Terry, Cailah and Andrew; and one great-grandchild, Hailey. Seeing one of them always brightened her day. She also has one sister, Janet and one brother, Jim.
