Emery "Frenchy" Bellow, 81, 203 S. Main Street, died yesterday at Britthaven of Somerset nursing home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on May 16, 1905, the son of the late Emery L. and Anna LaVoie Bellow. He came here from Michigan in 1958. He was a brick mason and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Tingley Bellow, whom he married in Utica, Michigan, on August 16, 1940; a daughter, Kathe Vaughn, Somerset; two stepsons, Gene and Norman Boutwell, both of Somerset; four brothers, Arthur Bellow, Spring Hill, Florida, Ed Bellow, Detroit, Michigan, Ted Bellow, Lynnwood, California, and Raymond Bellow, Waterford, Michigan; two sisters, Josephine Meredith, Somerset, and Evelyn Seeley, Rochester, Michigan; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Bobby, Albert, Oliver, Joe and Bernard Bellow.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday a the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. J.S. New officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
