Ervilla Ethel Howell Fisler was the daughter of Moses Frederick Howell and Catharine Ader Clawson. Ervilla was born on Sunday March 22, 1903 in Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey in German Valley (now Long Valley). Ervilla was the youngest child in her family with her older siblings listed below in order of their births.

Ervilla married Edward (Ed) Albert Fisler Sr. and the couple had three children. The couple lived for a short period of time in Mattawan, New Jersey but the majority of their marriage life they lived in Belford, New Jersey on the family farm.

at Riverview Medical Center,
Red Bank.
Born in Fairmount, she lived here
for the last 55 years.
Her husband, Edward Fisler, died
in 1980.
Mrs. Fisler was a member of the
Belford United Methodist Church,
here.
Surviving are two sons, Edward
Fisler of Keyport, and Robert
Fisler, here; a daughter, Roberta
Long, here; a sister, Grace Burd of
Califon; 11 grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren.
The Scott Funeral Home, here, is
in charge of arrangements.

The Fislers Mark Golden Wedding

BELFORD - Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Fisler Sr., 10
Broadway, were feted in honor of their Golden Anniversary,
March 9, at a dinner party in the Admiral Benbow Inn, High-
lands.
The party was given by the celebrants' children and their
spouses, Mr. and Mrs. John Long, New Monmouth; Mr. and
Mrs. Fisler Jr., Keyport, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Fisler,
Belford.
Among some 75 guests were Mrs. Martha Miller, Lanoka
Harbor, Mr. Fisler's sister, who was matron of honor at the
1924 ceremony in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Keyport. The
late Mr. Miller was best man.
Mrs. Fisler is the former Ervilla E. Howell of Long Valley.
Two of her sisters attended the party, they are Mrs. Grace
Burd, Califon, and Mrs. Mabel Van Pelt, Matawan. A third
sister, Mrs. Mary Frace, Matawan, was unable to attend be-
cause of illness.
Also among Mr Fisler's family at the event were his sister
Alice and her husband James Mauro, Matawan; and his
brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisler and Mr.
and Mrs John Fisler Sr., Belford, and Mr. and Mrs. William
Fisler, South Amboy. Siblings unable to attend were Henry
Fisler of Florida and Mrs. Elizabeth Staley, Arizona.
