He was a lifetime resident and retired farmer.
He was a member of teh Nazerene Church and a member of the Harvester's Class.
He married Angie Davidson in 1924. She preceded him in death in 1977.
He married Thelma L. Plumber Nov. 18, 1978, in Carthage. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons Walter N., Bob Bass, and step son John Dipper, four daughters Dorothy Lang, Betty Brisco, and stepdaughters Virginia Bryan and Ada Wade, 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
Pastor Wilson Baker will officiate with the Rev. Joe Lee Tompkins assisting.
