Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, at the Mt. Joy Baptist Church with burial in the Mt. Joy Cemetery on Smith Dam Road in the Curry community.
Mrs. Best was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Virgil Best; father, William Gibb; and mother, Edna Pearl Shields.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Hill Gilmer and her husband, Charles Jr. of Vernon and Viola Kerkley Stoddard and her husband, Danny of Aberdeen, Miss.; one son, Buddy Best of Becker, Miss.; one step-daughter, Patsy Buzbee and her husband, Joseph of Jasper; one sister, Vern King of Russellville; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Best's nephews and sons-in-law.
