Last Rites for Eunice Frazier Held Sunday at New Hope
Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Frazier were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the New Hope Baptist church with Rev. W. A. Spence officiating, assisted by Rev. Tellis Young of Chester, Illinois.

Burial was at the New Hope Baptist church cemetery.

Eunice Agnew Frazier, daughter of Dr. A. B. and Priscilla Brown Agnew was born near New Columbia, Illinois on April 6, 1872.

She departed this life September 22, 1949 at Urbana, Illinois at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage with John W. Frazier March 10, 1892 with whom she lived happily until death.

She was the mother of ten children of whom four preceded her in death, namely Annie, Amy, Averill and Clarice. Surviving are Mrs. Elsie Cagle of Metropolis; Ralph Frazier of Rantoul, Illinois; Mrs. Stella Richardson of Chester, Illinois; Mrs. Bernice Phillips of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Almeda Rose of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Evelyn Cagle of New Columbia, Illinois.

She is survived by fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Early in life she united with New Hope Baptist church and was active in the work of the church as long as her health permitted.

She was always active in community service, kind and neighborly, ever lending a helping hand to the sick or needy. Her father, Dr. A. B. Agnew was the community doctor and rendered a great service for many years. Many of his fine qualities were inherited by his daughter. From him she learned the fine quality of sympathy and kindly helpfulness that endeared her to her neighbors. Her passing is mourned by all who knew her and she will be missed but long remembered by them.
