A.Q. Harville
A.Q. Harville, age 67, a resident of Wilson Dam Ave., Sheffield, Ala., passed from this life Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Shoals Hospital.
A.Q., as he was known by many, was born in Hatton, Alabama. He was a 1952 graduate of Hatton High School. A.Q. worked tirelessly all his life. He was employed by Reynolds Metals for a number of years and was a member of Aluminum Workers Local 200 of Sheffield until he went with International Union as a representative. A.Q. was a member of the Hatton Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Genser Harville of Sheffield; two daughters, Annette Key and husband, Ralph, of Town Creek, Ala., Leslie Carroll and husband, Robbin, of Sheffield; one son, Chuck Harville of Sheffield; his mother, Lillian Harville of Town Creek, Ala.; one sister, Julia Counts of Town Creek, Ala.; one brother, Y.Z. Harville of Hatton, Ala.; three grandchildren, David and Lauren Gist and Dustin Key; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Hollander and Bailey Carroll; two nieces and three nephews.
His father, Dave Harville, preceded him in death.
A visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Mike Brooks, the Rev. Ted Vafeas and Rev. Father Patrick Tierney. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Luther Masterson, Malcolm Walker, Robert Scoggins, Jim Sims, Kenneth Hinton, Don Bowling, Freddie Abernathy and Bill Rutledge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rayburn Ruddy, Vernon Beck, Red Mashburn, Dr. Patrick Daughtery, Dr. Hermani Patel, Dr. Frank Gillis, Dr. Kenneth Copeland and Dr. Michael Yordy.

A.Q. was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be missed by all his family and friends.
