Both Whitney brothers served in the same company & regiment during the Civil War. In George's letters home he always referred to his brother as "Hardy Charlie". These letters are priceless in our family history.

The funeral will take place from the family residence of Geneneo, N. Y., Friday afternoon, at 3 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.
