BACON, ROBERT ALLEN - age 86 of Strawberry Plains formerly of LaFollette passed away Monday at Baptist West Hospital. He attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church, a Veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired owner and manager of the Western Sizzlin Steak House in LaFollette. Preceded in death by his wife Mildred E. Bacon and a brother Raleigh D. Bacon Sr. He is survived by his daughter Brenda Goble and husband Dallas of Strawberry Plains; granddaughter Lindsey Chapman of Corryton; 2 great grandchildren Kylie and Luke Chapman and his aunt Betty Bacon of Knoxville. Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Friday Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel, with Rev. Matt Powell officiating. Interment will follow services in Lynnhurst Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers Dereck Chapman, John Keenan, Jack Palmer, Charles Beal, Don Beal, Mack Lobertini. Honorary pallbearer, Hobert Palmer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association . The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
