William Bowens, 82, Nelsonville, died Saturday, April 1 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center, Nelsonville. Born Nov. 20, 1917, Athens County, son of the late Albert and Ada Barnhart Bowens, he was the widower of Margaret Wolfe Bowens. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
