Emma Kern

WEST BEND -- A former resident, Mrs. Emma Kern, died Sunday at the Cedar Lake Home here of complications of old age.
Mrs. Kern, 86, had lived in Waukesha most of her life.
She was an honorary member of the Lawnsdale Mothers Club; the Ruth Circle and the Quilters Club of the First Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, Waukesha.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Charles (Helen) Davis and sisters Mrs. Amanda Burrie, Miss Clara Keip and Mrs. Donald (Ann) Bertram all of Waukesha and Mrs. Louise Bleck of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First E. and R. United Church of Christ of Waukesha, with the Rev. Howard Kusler officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rudolph Funeral Home, Waukesha, after 4 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. to time of service.
The family suggests memorials to the Cedar Lake Home, West Bend or the First E and R United Church of Christ, Waukesha.
