Uri, born 10 January 1785, baptized in East Haddam in May 1785, married, April 1813, Betsey Gates, daughter of Ephraim and Susannah (Spencer) Gates. He served in Capt. Palmer's Company of the Connecticut Militia in the War of 1812. He was a farmer of East Haddam where he died, 6 September 1868, age 84. He was buried in the First Church Cemetery. His widow received a pension before her death in East Haddam on March 9, 1881 at the age of 88.
