Murray N. Amick, 89, of Mayport RD 2 (North Freedom), died at 2 a.m. Wednesday (June 28) at his home of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Amick retired 20 years ago from Monarch Aluminum Co., Clearfield, Ohio. He had lived in North Freedom since his retirement. He was a member of First Methodist Church in New Bethlehem. Born February 17, 1883 in New Washington (Clearfield County), he was a son of Andrew J. and Janelle (Ruffner) Amick. His wife Edna (Holman) Amick died December 14, 1957, and a brother Clair Amick died three years ago. Surviving is a brother Paul Amick of Sacramento, California, and a number of nieces and nephews. AMICK—Friends of Murray N. Amick, who died June 28, 1972, are being received at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn, from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Services will be from the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday (July 1) with his pastor, the Rev. James 0. Bissell, officiating. Burial will be made in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois. Arrangements by Alcorn.
