Mrs. Warren L. Bender
Mrs. Minnie Hertel Bender, 69, of 514 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, wife of Warren L. Bender, died of a heart attack last night while attending a family dinner at the home of her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. John Forbes, of 525 Washington Ave., Downingtonw.
Mrs. Bender, under a physician's care for five years, had arisen from the dinner table and was stricken.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Anton and Whilhelmina Scharpf Hertel. She had made her home in Downingtown for 59 years.
Mrs. Bender attended Downingtown Public Schools. Her husband is a retired Vice President in charge of sales of the Downingtown Paper Co.
She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, and the Women's Club, both of Downingtown.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Annie Arment and Mrs. Clara H. Welsh, both of Downingtown; two brothers, Anton E. Hertel, of Downingtown, and Charles f. Hertel, of Wayne; and a niece, Marie, wife of Warren Peck, of the Grove, whom the Bender's raised.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral form the Edward L. Townson Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 30, 1962, at 2 p.m. Interment in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Saturday evening.
