A private family committal will be for Raeder Ross Anderson at the Fisher Cemetery with the Rev. John Donnelly officiating. Services are under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory. Raeder Anderson, longtime Wagoner resident died at his home on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 at the age of 67. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif. on Nov. 7, 1941 to Edward and Polly Anderson. Following his childhood in Texas, he pursued a successful career as a professional baritone opera singer in New York. In 1977, he moved to Wagoner to be closer to his three children and to pursue a teaching career in music. Raeder Anderson was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Polly Anderson; his brother, Dick Anderson; and sister, Helen A. McQuaig. He is survived by his three children, Maure Anderson-Scholl and husband Larry of Webster Groves, Mo.; Aastri Anderson of Tulsa and Brenden Anderson and wife Janet of Fort Carson, Colo. He was proud of his twelve grandchildren, his family and friends.
