Obituary:

Charles William Sellers, son of Charles Nelson Sellers and Maude Stewart, was born near Monument, Colo, July 23, 1894, and passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Kan., Dec. 17, 1964.

when a young boy, he moved with his parents to Osborne County, Kan., where he attended school. On March 6, 1918, he was married to Neva Z. Collins. They farmed in Osborne County until 1923, when they moved to Abilene, Kan. He was employed by the Central Lumber Company until he went into business for himself as owner and operator of Sellers Truck Line. He retired in 1959 because of failing health. He was a member of the Abilene Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Memorial services were held at the Danner Funeral home with the Rev. Gaylen Minner officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Alberta Gomel at the organ and Mrs. LouAnn Stephenson, who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and at the close of the service, "The Lord's Prayer".

Pallbearers were Wayne Barten, William Burchard, Dana Faulkner, Warren Mastin, Bruce Robson and Lawrence Shetter. Interment was in the Abilene cemetery.

Besides his mother, Mrs. Maude VanMeer, he is survived by his wife and two sons, Roland D. of Abilene, and Eldon D. of St. Joseph, MO.; five daughters, Mrs. Helen Bartlett and Mrs. Wilmetta Weishaar of Abilene, Mrs. Loretta Ansley of Fairfield, Calif., Mrs. Nelda Sidesinger of Manhattan and Mrs. Jane Biegert of rural Junction City; twenty-three grandchildren and eight great-grand children; one brother, Walter Sellers of Boise, Idaho; and a half-brother, William VanMeer; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Steinhoff of Topeka, Kan., Mrs. Pearl Yarnell of Lucas, Kan., Mrs. Hazel Bean of Chanute, Kan., and Mrs. June Johnson of Osborne, Kan. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Fred Sellers.
