Raleigh M. Doom, 66, of Route 1, Central City, died Tuesday, March 7, 1989, at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville. He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a retired engineer for Illinois Central Railroad, was a member of Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly and Masonic Lodge of Central City No. 673 F&AM, and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Doom; a son, Danny Doom of Louisville; his mother, Hazel Baize of Central City; two brothers, E.P. Doom of San Diego, Calif., and Kenneth Doom of Hodgenville; and two sisters, Mary Lou Richey of Central City and Geraldine Arnold of Clifty.

Services are at 1 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City. Visitation at the funeral home.
