The remains of Mrs. Catherine RYAN, who passed away in Dallas yesterday at the age of 80 years, were expected to arrive in the city this afternoon, being met at Nacogdoches by the Glenn Undertaking Co., and the funeral will be held at Ryan Chapel tomorrow at an hour to be announced later.
The deceased is a former resident of Angelina County, a member of the well known family of FAIRCHILD, and has been residing in Dallas for many years past, being born in that city and later coming to this county, where she spent a great portion of her life.
Mrs. RYAN is survived by Lee, Sam and Tobe RYAN of this county and Mesdames Lou STRAWN and Addie STRAWN of Dallas, also a brother, J. M. FAIRCHILD, and three sisters, Mesdames Lou CONNER, Dollie SIMMONS and Seaton WAGNER, the four latter residents of Angelina County.
The deceased is well known here, especially in the neighborhood of Burke and Diboll, and the interment will be in the family plot in Ryan Cemetery, where so many of the old settlers have been laid to their final rest. The services will be held in the presence of a large number of old friends and acquaintances of the deceased, with the services in charge of some Methodist minister, the deceased having been a member of that denomination for a number of years.
