She was born in Wayne County on Monday, August 27, 1917 to Hardy and Vivian Henderson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was retired as a teacher for Wayne and Jones County Public School Systems. Mrs. Holifield is preceded in death by 3 husbands, Colon Busby, Charles "Dad" Boutwell, Algia Holifield; father, Hardy Henderson; mother, Vivian Henderson; son, Shafter Busby; 3 brothers, Leonard Henderson, Denvil Henderson, Hardy Lee Henderson. She is survived by her step son-in-law, Lavelle Walters of Laurel; sister, Mildred Lofton of Waynesboro; 3 nieces, Carolyn Ann Skinner of California, Debbie Thornton (Bruce) of Biloxi, Scottie Busby (James) of Clara; nephew, Tommy Henderson (Joan) of Leakesville; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Holifield will be helheld from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wayne County. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wayne County with Rev. Dave Moran officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Wayne County.d
