Funeral services for Joseph N. Hoy, 83, were held this afternoon from the Reigle Funeral Home. The Rev. E. F. Rhoades of the Evangelical United Brethren church officiated and burial was made in Highland cemetery.
Mr. Hoy was born in Henry County, Ohio on January 13, 1868. He came to Gladwin 47 years ago; and operated a farm here during that time. He married Miss Laura Hitts in Napoleon, Ohio in 1889. Death came at the Midland Hospital on Sunday, November 18.
Survivng are his wife; two sons, Delbert F. Hoy and Leslie H. Hoy, both, of Johannesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mann of Gladwin and Mrs. Opal Petrie of Grand Rapids; one brother, Bert of Waseon, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Webber of Waseon, Ohio and Mrs. Cedell Allinson of Resida, California; also 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
