DEXTER, N.Y. — Lucas J. VanSchaick, 12, passed away 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Albany Medical Center.
Born Dec. 9, 1996, in Watertown, he attended Goff Middle School in East Greenbush, N.Y.
He enjoyed Star Wars, swimming, camping, art and riding his bike.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Anthony Lyn Wasiyo, Melrose, N.Y.; his father, Robert VanSchaick, Palatine Ridge, N.Y.; siblings, Jessie Blackwell, Sackets Harbor, Randi Blackwell, Ft. Plain, Anthony Wasiyo, Melrose; maternal grandparents, Ed and Faunta Harris, Parish, and Ron and Diane Nier, Sackets Harbor; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday, July 13, at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, with Rev. Linda Harris officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Adams, N.Y. Calling hours will be 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
