John Suel, 83, of 1725 Wisconsin Ave., New Holstein, died Wednesday at his home.
A resident of the City of New Holstein for 40 years, he was born in the Town of New Holstein on July 28, 1877, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Suel. He worked in the canning industry most of his life.
On July 31, 1906, he married Kathryn Hansen in New Holstein, and served on the New Holstein Cemetery Association board for many years.
Only survivors are nieces and nephews. His wife died last year.
Services will be held at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral home in New Holstein. The Rev. Vernon Jaberg, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ at Kiel, will officiate and burial will be in New Holstein City Cemetery.
