She was born June 23, 1914 in Neelyville, MO. On December 22, 1941 she was married to Jack Carl McDowell. He survives.
Ellen was a homemaker. She was a member of Northend Holiness Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by six children: Helen Sprague of Poplar Bluff; Sue (George) West of St.Charles, MO; Linda (Charles) Lewis of St. Peters, MO; Judy (Larry) Lucas of Wright City, MO; Jack (Letty) McDowell of Poplar Bluff; and Debbie (Leroy) Parker of Puxico, MO. She was also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy June (Reese) Capps.
Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alfred Sadler officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
