Born at Bellamy Springs near Fulton, Missouri the son of Vernon Lee and Stella maude Woods Adams. He was married on December 31 1939 at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church in chamois, Missouri to Florence Frances Wuelling who preceded him in death on May 15 1990. He spent most of his life in the Mokane and Chamois Area. "Lefty" was an avid fan of baseball, as a left-handed pitcher, he played in a spring training camp for the St. Louis Browns in springfield, Missouri He was employed as a brakeman and conductor for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 35 years until his retirement in 1979.
