"Boots" Colley loved to farm. She would hire out to plow the fields of the local farmers in Young and Thockmorton counties. I remember riding with her in one of the first air conditioned, radio equipped tractors she drove. Boy was she proud of that tractor. Born near Saint Patricks Day and Irish, she had an affinity with green and shamrocks. Hence the green tombstone adorned with a tractor and shamrocks which I purchased for and in memory of her.
Her brother JB Colley is buried beside her.
