Cooper Review- February 14, 1989- Obie Stell Martin of Fort Worth, formerly of Cooper died Friday, February 3 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 5, at 2PM at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce with internment in the Shiloh Cemetery. The Rev. Guile Ssigler officiated. Martin was born in Delta county Fenbruary 3, 1989. He had lived in Delta and Lamar counties until 1951, when he moved to Fort Worth. He was retired from General Steel Company. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Stone Martin of Fort Worth,; a son, Carlton R. Martin of Fort Worth; a daughter, Jo Martin Brown of Fort Worth; three brothers, Eual Martin of Mineral Wells, Fred Martin of Honey Grove and Warren Martin of Fort Worth; two sisters, Bessie Humphries of Petty and Mozelle Ray of Klondike; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
