She married Charles Augustine Morman Gentry on March 2, 1931, in Manhattan, New York. They had one child, Pearl, in Greenwich, Connecticut before settling in Amelia County, Virginia. They had eight children in 15 years. She died on August 19, 2000, in Richmond City, Virginia, at the age of 92, and was buried in Jetersville, Virginia.
