Jane was the daughter of Col. Evan & Margaret (Nivin) Evans.

On 1 Jun 1797 she married Thomas Henderson.

The couple had 6 daughters, Margaret, Eliza, Mary, Lydia, Jane and Anna (Nivin).

Only Anna married and she had no children. All 6 are buried in the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery.
