Funeral services for Cecil L. Adkins, 70, of 700 N. Main, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday from Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Melton, pastor of Keeler Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Adkins died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at North Plains Hospital. He was born July 3, 1901 in Newton [sic], Iowa. He was a former employe of Phillips Petroleum Company and owned and operated Acme Loan and Pawn Shop for the past several years.

He was a veteran of WWI [sic] and was a 32nd degree Mason. His only surviving relative is Mrs. Pauline Rowland, Dewey, Okla., a sister-in-law.
