Margariet Virginia Ezzell was born to Rev Jim Franklin and Audra McClure on December 2, 1926. She departed this life on August 15, 2009 at the age of 82 years. She was the fifth one to be born and her twin being the sixth child born into the McClure family. They lived near Gracemont, Oklahoma.
She grew up in a family with 10 children. Her dad (they called him "Papa") was a Pentecostal Holiness Preacher for 50 years plus and pastored churches all around in Oklahoma. Papa loved music and taught all of his children to sing and play instruments. It was a priority with him above education. To him serving the Lord and learning music were education.
Margariet herself was in an evangelistic team when she was in her late teens and traveled as far as South Carolina. She traveled with Nellie McClure and Syble Maxwell. They were called the Melody Trio. She married the late Reverend A C Ezzell, Sr. on May 16, 1947 from Fox, Oklahoma. To this union were born five lovely children.
LaTrella Ince of Kingfisher, Marilyn Stuard of Oklahoma City, Gayla Ezzell of Elmore City, A C Ezzell, Jr. of Elmore City, Diane Gregston of Yukon.
Ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends as you can see here today.
A C and Margariet pastored churches their whole married life. They were affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness churches for several years. They pastored at the Pentecostal Holiness Churches at Fox, Apache, Hammon, and Southside Holiness at Elmore City, an Independent Church called the Lighthouse at Lindsay, Mt. View Independent Church at Foster, Oklahoma. The last church they pastored was Fairoak Pentecostal Church. They began there in September of 1980.
They were married 55 years and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Fairoak Pentecostal Church in 1997 with a host of family and friends present.
Their main goal was to serve in the pastorate position and to help promote the kingdom of God, which they did until Reverend Ezzell became completely disabled in June of 2002 and later passed away on November 17, 2002.
Margariet emotionally died in spirit the same day Reverend Ezzell died almost 7 years ago but we have not come to bury her until today.
She is also preceded in death by her parents Reverend Jim Franklin McClure and Audra McClure and three (3) of her brothers Lloyd, Howard, and Cecil McClure and one (1) sister Dorothy Gilbert.
She is also survived by 4 brothers and one sister. Vernon, Billy, Marvin, Virgil McClure and Vera Simmons.
