Mrs. Amanda Pritchard, widow of George Pritchard, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Lukehart, in Lawn Ridge Monday afternoon, following an illness of eight months' duration during which time she was bedfast.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at (unclear) o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Lawn Ridge Congregational church, with Rev. A. H. Nothdurft in charge. Interment was in the Lawn Ridge cemetery. Six grandsons acted as pallbearers.
Mrs. Pritchard was born Oct. 29, 1862, in Peoria county, the daughter of James and Christine Cochrane, and spent her entire life in this county. Her husband died 39 years ago.
She was the mother of eight children, seven of whom survive. They are Thomas, James and Jay of Lawn Ridge, Mrs. George Wilcox, Mrs. Henry Lukehart and Miss Lucy Pritchard, who is a trained nurse and gave her mother loving care during her last illness. A son, Nelson, Preceded her in death in February, 1934. Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
