BENJAMIN GILBERT
Benjamin Franklin Gilbert, 75, of 4005 16th Ave., Phenix City, died Sunday at his home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church with burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Buice Chapel, Phenix City.
Mr. Gilbert was born July 14, 1902, in Talbot County, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Gilbert. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Central Baptist Church. He had lived in Phenix City for the past 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Mayo, Phenix City; a son, Charles F. Gilbert, Cordele, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Lilly Littlejohn, Phenix City, Mrs. Fannie Lou Willis, Talbotton, and Mrs. Kate Willis, West Point, Miss.; and five grandchildren. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
