Born Nov. 8, 1932, in Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Arthur K. and Grace J. "Teddy" Hummel) Bond and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
He worked at Marsh Foundry and Kulp Foundry for many years.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he also served in the National Guard GG 109th Infantry 128th Division. Bill was a life member of the George N. Kemp Post No. 346 American Legion, East Stroudsburg.
He is survived by three sons, Arthur W. Bond Jr., Walter J. Bond and his wife, Donna, and David Allen Bond; two sisters, Elizabeth Schuler Brodheadsville and Dorothy Henning and her husband, Bruce, of Sciota; a brother, Jack P. Singer and his wife, Fran, of Canadensis; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Walters.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, with Fred V. Robertson officiating. Cremation took place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
