Casmer Churchill Dies Wednesday
Casmer D. Churchill, 81, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 6, 1963, in his home at 15 New Street. He had returned to his home several weeks ago after hospitalization in Jamestown.
Mr. Churchill, a son of Homer C. and Rhoda Weegar Churchill, was born in Randolph Nov. 6, 1881. He was married to the former Emerella Merchant, who survives. He spent most of his life in Randolph but worked for several years for the Jamestown Street Railway and for the traction line between Jamestown and Westfield. He later worked for 35 years at the Wilhelm Garage in Randolph. He was a member of the Randolph Fire Company and its chief for many years. A fishing enthusiast, he was also a member of the Randolph Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to this widow, he is survived by a cousin, Mrs. Charles Hubble, of Salamanca.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Myers Funeral Home, Church Street, with the Rev. Thomas E. Guerdat, of the Randolph Federated Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Burial will be in the East Randolph Cemetery.
