A life -long resident of the area, he was an EMT and Captain of the Bella Vista Fire Dept. retiring in Dec. 2001 after 29 years of service. He was a Wesleyan Methodist and enjoyed gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Twyla Sue Wardlaw; daughter, Danna Kaye Fjelsted; grandson Ronald Wayne Fjelsted; one brother, Bill Jack Wardlaw; and one sister, Ruth Van Every.
Survivors are a son Alan Wardlaw and wife Tammi of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is set for Tuesday, August 18, 2:00p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be at Wardlaw cemetery, southeast of Pea Ridge. Visitation is set for Monday, August 17, 6-8:00p.m.at the funeral home.
