R. Stanley McManamy of 515 E. Crawford Ave., died at 11:30 a.m. yesterday at his home after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 3, 1913, in Altoona, a son of Samuel J. and Ella (Fishel) McManamy, and married Jean Matthew Nov. 17, 1953, at Cumberland, Md. Surviving are his wife, his mother, of Altoona; four sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Mary Shively of York, Mrs. Margaret Lindemer, Charles, Mrs. Virginia Glacken and Mrs. Betty Smith, all of Altoona, Paul of Bedford, Kenneth in the service at Fort Lexington, Ky., and Donald of Woodbury. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a technician, 5th grade, with the 204th General Hospital Unit in the South Pacific area. He was employed at the State Garage and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 5 to 10 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. tomorrow.
