Rev. Ansley Baker Blades was the son of Rev. John Hogg and Mary Cromwell (Ansley) Blades. He was the husband of Florence Leonard (Bailey) Blades. They were married August 10, 1894. Florence died May 17, 1946. Rev. Blades was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1900 F 1902 To California Conference by transfer 1904 To Newark Conference by transfer 1906 To Central Pennsylvania Conference by transfer 1907 Withdrawn 1909. He then entered the ministry of the Presbyterian Church in 1909. Rev. Blades died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
