For the past 20 years he lived in Adams County, where he farmed up to ten years ago, since which time he has made his home in Ritzville. For the past few years he has been staying with his son, Henry, near Packard, where death overtook him. His wife died about two years ago, but he is survived by five sons, John of this place; Conrad and Jacob, who live at Chester, Mont.; Adam, of Ritzville; and Henry of Packard; and four daughters, Mrs. J. C. Oestrich and Mrs. Conrad Lesser, of Ritzville; Mrs. Katie Schell, of Portland, OR; and Mrs. Mary Mayer of San Francisco, CA.
