Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Ruby Sailors Hamer, 56, Indianapolis, a native of LaFontaine. She died at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the East Side Community Hospital after an illness of six months.
She was born Sept. 27, 1901 in LaFontaine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Sailors. In 1921 she married Raymond D. Hamer, who preceded her in death in 1941.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William, Reichle, Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Lautenschlager, Dayton, O., Mrs. Ethel Rinder, Freeman, Mo., Mrs. Louise Hollett, Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Dorothy Ervin, Anderson; and three grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the Feeney and Feeney Funeral Home, 5300 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, after which the body will be brought to Falls Cemetery where graveside services will be held about 11 a.m. Friday. Dr. George W. Cartwright will officiate at the graveside services.
