Richard Charles Hopkins
Rick Hopkins, 26, died January 7, 1983 in Salt Lake.
Born August 12, 1956, in Salt Lake to Charles
Albert and Joyce P. Hopkins. He was outstanding
in the Hair Industry for over six years. A graduate
of International Institute, later becoming a Student
Instructor. He was a major educator for instructors
and cosmotologists and became Style Director for a
chain of salons and schools. He won several hair
stylist competitions.
Rick is survived by, father, Charles A. (Jean) Hopkins, Portland,
Oregon; mother, Mrs. Richard A. (Joyce) Welch, Salt Lake;
brothers, Michael W. and Jeffrey S. Hopkins, Salt Lake;
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Pugmire, Salt Lake;
and Mr. and Mrs. Deward D. Hopkins, Salt Lake; great-
grandmother, Mrs. Elma Pugmire, Salt Lake City.
Graveside services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Cemetary,
Wednesday, January 12, 1983, 1:00 p.m.
