Wife of Prominent Union Township Man Died Last Evening at Age Of
SEVENTY-SIX YEARS
Mrs. F. F. Frech Dead - Funeral Will Be Held on Thursday Afternoon
Mrs. Mary Ann Frech, wife of Frederick F. Frech, a prominent and successful farmer of Union township, former residents of this city, died last evening at 7:03 o'clock of infirmities of old age. At death she was seventy-six years, seven months and twenty-two days of age.
Mrs. Frech was a daughter of George W. and Catherine Graham. She was born in Hancock county, Ohio, August 15, 1839, being the oldest of a family of nine children. She was reared in Hancock county and received her education there, and was there married December 3, 1867 to Mr. F. F. Frech. They resided in Hancock county until 1871. For many years they lived in Union township, this county, where Mr. Frech owned a fine farm. Upon retiring from active farm life, they came to this city and lived on North Third street, until Mrs. Frech's health became so bad about three years ago, that they returned to the farm, to be with their daughter, Mrs. Frank McIntosh, and where Mrs. Frech's death occurred last night.
Of four children born to Mr. and Mrs. Frech, one is living. This is Nellie, wife of Frank McIntosh. A daughter, Alice, wife of Harry Funk, died about three years ago. Two ?? died in childhood. There are eight grandchildren living. A sister lives in Colorado and two brothers, one in Arizona and another in Ohio.
The funeral will be Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home, in charge of the Rev. Powell, of New Haven.
