Another Pioneer Gone. Mrs. Legrand Olmsted, aged 81 years, and one of the pioneer settlers of Clayton county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. W. Wooliscoft, at Spencer, Clay Couunty, on Tuesday morning. Mrs. Olmsted came to this county in 1852 and since the death of her husband in 1859, has made her home with her daughter at Monona, until within three or four years, when the family moved to Clay county. She was a lady of rare attainments, a "good, happy old soul," who, by her readiness to aid in all good works, called around her an army of earnest and true friends. Her remains were brought to Monona, and the funeral occured from the residence of Hon. Page Olmsted yesterday afternoon, largely attended by friends and neighbors.
