She was the daughter of Allen Jones (1800- ca 1875) and Nancy Ann (Cone) Jones (1801- ca 1855). She married Benjamin F. Whipple 4 Sept 1845 in Lowndes County, GA. They raised 7 children. Following her husbands death, she applied for and received a widow's pension based on his service with the 12th GA militia.

AGED LADY DIED WEDNESDAY
MRS B. F. WHIPPLE PASSES AWAY AT HER HOME NEAR LEBANON—FUNERAL YESTERDAY
Mrs. B. F. Whipple died Wednesday night at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Haywood Rogers, near Lebanon. Mrs. Whipple was born Jan 14, 1826 and was therefore nearly 86 years old at the time of her death. She was a native of Bulloch county among the early settlers in this section. She was Miss Susan Jones and was married to B. F. Whipple Sept 4, 1845, in Lowndes county. In 1847 Mrs. Whipple joined the Primitive Baptist church and has been a devout member of her faith and order. As a wife, mother and Christian, Mrs. Whipple's life has been an example of womanly virtues.
She was the mother of eight children, three of whom are dead. The surviving ones being Mrs. Haywood Rogers, T. F. Whipple, A. J. Whipple, Henry Whipple, Jno A. Whipple.
The funeral services occurred yesterday afternoon at four o'clock at Lebanon church. Rev. Mr. Gardner conducting the services. A large concourse of friends was present to pay a last tribute of respect to one whom all esteemed.
