Services for Billie L. Baker, 77, of Emory were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory with Rev. Wayne Wolfe officating.

Burial followed in Dunbar Cemetery with Todd smith, David Gowin, Stephen Gowin, Justin Wolfe, Blake Clemmons, Jeff Galay, Ryan Holt, and Joey Chastain serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Baker died Wednesday July 3, 2002 at Hopkins County Hospital in Sulphur Springs.

She was born in Heath on April 10, 1925, to William H. and Louis Ann Brockway Lankford.

She married Richard J. Baker in Waco on October 15, 1984. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Baker was a seamstress and a Baptist.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly; two sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include four daughters and son-in-law, Sue and Ronnie Gowin, Diana and Wayne Wolfe, Sandy and Danny Sims, all of Emory, and Leona and Russell Clemmons of Wylie; sisters, Martha George of Garland and Doris Kafka; 10 granddaughter, Shelly holy, Blake Clemmons, Todd Smith, Susie Smith, David Gowin, Stephen Gowin, Wendy Chastain, Kelly Sims, Amy Cooper, and Justin Wolfe; and seventeen great grandchildren.
