She was born in Columbia, the daughter of the late Jacob and Laura Myers Meshey.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Paul Meshey, Mount Joy; four daughters: Patricia Rineer, Lancaster; Virginia, wife of Darwin Reese, Acme Rl.; Rose, wife of Gerald Crouse, Maytown; and Paula, wife of James Jones, Felton; two stepsons, Marlyn C. Kauffman Jr., Elizabethtown, and Dale Kauffman, Columbia; a stepdaughter, Diane Weitkamp, Columbia; 18 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary, wife of Charles Altland, Columbia; and brother, Charles Meshey, Belleville, Ill.
